City Council <br /> <br />Business Retention & <br />Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 7, 2013 <br />Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />st <br />CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 8:03 AM in the 1 Floor Meeting room at <br />the Louisville Library, 951 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado by Chair Ron Sackett. Chair <br />Sackett asked that Councilmember Hank Dalton chair the remainder of the meeting. <br />ROLL CALL The following members were present: <br />Committee Members: Ron Sackett, Chair, Hank Dalton, City Council; Michael Menaker, <br />Alternate Revitalization Commission; Emily Jasiak, City Council; Chris Pritchard, Ronda Grassi, <br /> <br />Staff Present: Bonnie Star, Interim Economic Development Director; Malcolm Fleming, City <br />Manager; Troy Russ, Planning Director and Dawn Burgess, Executive Assistant to the City <br />Manager. <br />Others Present: Mike Schantz, representing Open Space Advisory Board (OSAB), Mike <br />Kranzdorf, Dave Sinkey <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA Agenda approved as presented. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the September 9, 2013 meeting were approved as <br />presented. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA: Mr. Schantz spoke representing <br />OSAB. OSAB is seeking public input and looking at priorities for trail system. A number of trail <br />projects have been reviewed, completed crossing have been reviewed and underpasses <br />summarized and types of trails have been reviewed. <br />He asked that BRaD members think about what type of trails you would like to see. Mr. Schantz <br />brought maps that members could draw on. The top priority for trails will be determined by <br />public input. Councilmember Jasiak will return the maps to Mr. Schantz. <br />Mr. Schantz was asked if electric bikes have been considered for trails. He said that has not <br />been brought forward yet, but is a concept worth considering.
