The Board discussed other possible venues, such as <br />Steinbaugh Pavilion. Other considerations are fundraising to pay fo <br />timeframe, perhaps April or August. Possible collaboration with <br />was also discussed. <br />VIII.Ongoing Business <br /> <br />A.Annual Study Session with City Council on Sept. 24 <br /> <br />The Board reviewed and discussed the slide presentation prepared by Sherri Lancton <br />and suggested some revisions. <br />out a revised presentation for additional comment before finalizing. Jeannie and Sherri <br />will present the information <br />speak. <br /> <br />B.Update: Library Advocacy Initiatives for the Board of Trustees <br /> <br />1)Community Food Share <br /> <br />in <br />Louisville with events coordinator Tammy Palombo. To help the Board craft a <br />possible advocacy initiative, Shari wanted to obtain some demogr <br />Community Food Share. However, it will be at least a couple of months before the <br />organization is settled into its new space and can provide this information and <br />determine which of the ideas discussed are the most feasible for The <br />Library Board will be kept informed. <br />2)Little Libraries <br /> <br />Sherri noted that she has only just begun to explore this. Sherri and Swill plan <br />to report on progress at the November meeting. It was suggested that the Board <br />involve community members (e.g., Eileen Patrick) who already have these libraries <br />in their yards. <br />IX. <br /> <br />A.Budget <br /> <br />Beth discussed the status of the proposed 2014 budget and capital projects, as well as <br />changes to our arrangements with Boulder related to the Interlibrary System (ILS). <br /> <br />B.Summer Reading Program (SRP) Results <br /> <br />A copy of the PowerPoint presentation prepared by Sean Lamborne was included in the <br />meeting packet. The Board discussed the results, with particular <br />is hoping to partner with <br />Louisville Elementary School to track reading level retention. <br /> <br />C.Inventory <br /> <br />An inventory of the circulating collection has been in process f <br />beginning with some weeding projects and relocation of some coll <br />first comprehensive inventory since 2007. Several staff members have been involved, <br />particularly with shelf-reading in advance of the inventory scan, but there is a core <br />team comprising Lisa Merly, Janet Warden, Ronda Warden, and Lisa <br />handled the majority of the process. Lisa Merly is handling inventory data and will <br />report results after the project is completed in October. <br />
