Status of FEMA and insurance company decisions regarding funding <br />recovery of golf course and flood mitigation plans — Joe, WGP and <br />staff have been working very quickly putting together the estimates <br />needed for all of the improvements on the course along with working with <br />FEMA and the insurance companies. FEMA says "don't wait on us, get <br />going" stated Joe Stevens. <br />b. City Council announced decisions on actions regarding golf course - <br />At the 12/3/2013 City Council meeting, it is our hope that a contractor will <br />be awarded and rebuilding process can begin as soon as possible. <br />c. Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) Coal Creek Golf Course Disaster <br />Recovery Project — In the last month Joe has been working with Phelps - <br />Atkinson on assessing the needs at the golf course and creating an RFP. <br />The RFP was submitted on the Rocky Mtn. E- Purchasing System and all <br />bids are due back by November 7, 2013. A very aggressive timeline is in <br />place with the hope that a contractor will be awarded within the next six <br />weeks. A design -build team is preferred on this project. <br />d. Coal Creek Golf Course Storm Damage Assessment Prepared by <br />Phelps- Atkinson Golf Course Design- Kevin Atkinson of Phelps - <br />Atkinson reviewed the hole -by -hole damage analysis as presented in our <br />packet. <br />e. Coal Creek Golf Course Irrigation System Flood Assessment <br />Prepared by Irrigation Technologies- Joe states that the actual irrigation <br />system replacement will be determined during the design process. <br />f. Coal Creek Golf Course Damage Assessment Prepared by Western <br />Golf Properties, LLC — Not present. <br />Item VII — Public Comments on agenda item #6 — <br />• John Meng inquired about the progress at Mariana Butte golf <br />course with regard to their flood damage vs. Coal Creek's damage. <br />This inquiry resulted in a discussion on what the implications of <br />opening 9 holes sooner than 18.
