Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 21, 2013 <br />Page 8 of 9 <br /> <br />Stewart recommended tabling this until the next meeting. <br />Discussion Mine Markers <br />Stewart asked what the next steps would be. <br />McCartney presented the items in the packet. <br />Stewart recommended staff to work with OSAB to work on a joint project regarding the <br />signs. <br />Discussion Architect/contractor outreach/demo permit information sheet <br />McCartney presented a checklist to be added to demo permits. This sheet will require <br />all applicants to sign off that they were given information about the program, as well as <br />other alternatives, such as relocating the structure instead of demolition. He added the <br />public outreach for the HPF and demo alternatives is much improved since the Building <br />Division and Planning Department have combined into one office. <br />Stewart asked staff to bring any further changes to the next meeting. <br />Committee Reports <br /> <br />Preservation Master Plan/CLG grant application <br />Haley stated her and La Grave are on this subcommittee. She stated the original <br />Master Plan was never approved by City Council but they are using this original plan as <br />the bones for the next plan. <br />Stewart stated staff is applying for a CLG grant to assist in funding the master plan <br />process. He stated there will be a 50/50 split between CLG funds and HPF funds. <br />Historical Commission Liaison <br />Haley stated the meeting went very well. She stated they discussed the Mine Marker <br />project. <br />Watson excused himself from the meeting. <br />Update on Demolition Requests - 712 Lincoln, 825 Lafarge, 810 Spruce, 1033 <br />Jefferson <br /> <br />Fasick stated Traci Mumm was requesting the HPC release their demo permit. <br />Stewart asked when the permit was scheduled to be released. <br />nd <br />McCartney stated it was to be released on November 2. <br />Fasick stated he is in favor of releasing the permit. <br />
