The suggested survey would be similar to the City's policy
survey in 2009. Staff presented a list of possible survey topics for Council to
consider. The cost of the survey was discussed; the 2009 survey was
approximately $8,000. The budget would have to be amended to allow for a
survey, coming from fund balance.
The topics were discussed and Council member Loo said the project information
would need to be specific.
The value of a survey was discussed as well as:
• How to ask the questions
• What questions to ask
• Interest level of community in a survey
Planning and Building Safety Director Troy Russ referred to a recent City of
Boulder survey as a useful tool.
City Manager's Report
City Manager Fleming discussed the Advanced Agenda
Future Discussion items:
Council members Loo and Yarnell said the closing of the off leash area during
the Washington and McCaslin underpass construction was of concern and asked
for alternative locations to be considered.
Adjourn— 9:30 pm
Submitted by—Dawn Burgess
August 28, 2013
