City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 4, 2013 <br />Page 5 of 16 <br />Council member Loo stated she took to heart City Manager Fleming's concern that the <br />reimbursements for flood damage would not be enough to cover the reconstruction cost. <br />She urged the public and the City Council to consider there may be future budget cuts <br />to pay for the flood restoration. She suggested Council look at maintaining the basic <br />services and funding projects benefitting the majority of the public. She supported a <br />discussion on possible budget cuts at a future study session and planning for a worst <br />case scenario. <br />Mayor Muckle noted one study session in January has already been scheduled for the <br />purpose Council member Loo had suggested. He stressed passing the budget is one of <br />the most important decisions Council will make. He thanked the staff for their work on <br />the budget. He explained the budget contained several large capital projects and then <br />additional projects as a result of the flood were added. <br />RESOLUTION No. 59, SERIES 2013 — A RESOLUTION SUMMARIZING <br />EXPENDITURES AND REVENUES FOR EACH FUND AND ADOPTING A BUDGET <br />FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR <br />BEGINNING ON THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY 2014 AND ENDING ON THE LAST <br />DAY OF DECEMBER 2014 <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Dalton moved to approve Resolution No. 59, Series 2013, <br />seconded by Council member Jasiak. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by <br />a vote of 7 -0. <br />RESOLUTION No. 60, SERIES 2013 — ANNUAL APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION <br />FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR BEGINNING <br />JANUARY 1, 2014 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2014 <br />MOTION: Council member Keany moved to approve Resolution No. 60, Series 2013, <br />seconded by Council member Loo. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a <br />vote of 7 -0. <br />RESOLUTION No. 61, SERIES 2013 — A RESOLUTION LEVYING GENERAL <br />PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE YEAR 2013, TO HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS OF <br />GOVERNMENT FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO FOR THE 2014 <br />BUDGET YEAR <br />MOTION: Council member Jasiak moved to approve Resolution No. 61, Series 2013, <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dalton. Roll call vote was taken.
