Louisville City Council Meeting <br />October 1, 2002 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Sisk stated that some students are choosing to park in the residential area along St. <br />Andrews and not in the school parking lot. <br /> <br />Phare stated that the Public Works Department is not comfortable with a significant <br />amount of students crossing St. Andrews at a peak traffic hours. <br /> <br />Levihn stated that, for disciplinary reasons, some students are banned from driving and <br />parking on campus. He stressed that those students are parking along St. Andrews Lane. <br /> <br />Brown stated the Ward III meeting would be a good opportunity to discuss the issue with <br />residents, school district and Staff. <br /> <br />Keany reminded residents of the Ward I meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, <br />October 2"d, at 7:00 p.m., in the Louisville Public Library meeting room. <br /> <br />Levihn reminded residents of the Ward III, which would be held Monday, October 7th, at <br />7:00 p.m., in the Coal Creek Golf Course Clubhouse. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1400, SERIES 2002 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />SECTION 17.57.070 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT AN <br />UPDATED FLOOD INSURANCE RATE MAP FOR THE CITY OF LOUSVILLE <br />- 2na reading - public hearing (advertised in the Daily Camera 09/21/02) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1400, Series 2002. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Planning Director Wood reported on notification by the Federal Emergency Management <br />Agency (FEMA) that a recent re-evaluation of Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA's) has <br />been completed as initially identified on the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) issued on <br />May 6, 1996. The revised FIRM map will become effective on October 4, 2002. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing and asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak <br />for or against Ordinance No. 1400, Series 2002. Hearing none, he closed the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION: Sisk moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1400, Series 2002, <br />seconded by Keany. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />Council member Mayer left the meeting at 7:19 p.m. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
