Louisville City Council Meeting
December 2, 2003

Council member Van Pelt asked for a comparison of the sign restriction in other
commercial areas. Wood stated the Colony Square Center sign program is probably as
restrictive as the Gateway Plaza PUD.

Mayor Pro Tem Sisk asked if the other tenants would follow suit with requests for sign
modification. Wood stated the modification would affect the entire PUD.

Council member Keany asked if the applicant realizes the modification is more
restrictive. Weibs stated he was aware of the restrictions.

Mayor Davidson stated if all restrictions were removed, all tenants would change their
signs. He felt the gateway to Louisville would then have an array of different signage
and colors, instead of uniform size and color.

Council member Keany suggested the use of four colors only.

MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 49, Series
2003, with an amendment permitting modification of the sign code for Firstier Bank only,
seconded by Council member Levihn. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a
vote of 7-0.

RESOLUTION NO. 48, SERIES 2003 - A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ACTION
STATEMENTS FOR THE SOUTHWEST QUADRANT OF THE LAND USE
SECTION OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE 1998 SOUTH SUBAREA
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN - PUBLIC HEARING (advertised Daily Camera
11/22/03)

Mayor Davidson opened the public hearing and called for Staff presentation.

City Attomey Light requested a motion by Council to formally include in the public
record of the hearing on the comprehensive plan amendment application, the following
documents: the Council Communication and the document listed in the communication,
the proofs of publication for all notices given for City Council hearings on the
applications, all written comments filed with the City regarding the application and
proposed comprehensive plan amendments, the City's comprehensive plan, the current
comprehensive building plan ordinances set forth in chapter 17.64 of the Louisville
Municipal Code, the Northwest Parkway Intergovernmental Agreement and
comprehensive building plan, and any other public records in the planning department
files relative to the application.

MOTION: Mayor Davidson moved that Council include all the items outlined by the
City Attorney in the record, and including any emails received through the City's server
relative to comp plan update, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Sisk.
