She noted the typo on the contractor's license is in Table 5, <br />Contractor License D should be $75.00 instead of $5.00. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Dalton recommended striking the fee for Pit Bull licenses. <br />MOTION: Council member Jasiak moved to approve Resolution No. 71, Series 2013, <br />with an amendment to Table 5 — Class D Contractors License is $75.00, seconded by <br />Mayor Muckle. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 7 -0. <br />AWARD CONTRACT TO BRYAN CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR PRE - <br />CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT /GENERAL CONTRACTING SERVICES FOR THE <br />CITY SERVICES FACILITY <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />CIP Manager Diana Trettin explained the contract to Bryan Construction, Inc. is for pre - <br />construction management /general contracting services for the City of Louisville's City <br />Service Facility (CSF). Staff has negotiated a not -to- exceed fee of $16,500 with Bryan <br />Construction to provide the Pre - construction phase services for the City Services <br />Facility. For this amount Bryan Construction will also assist in the development of a <br />design and construction plan for the project. <br />Staff recommended the City Council approve the contract with Bryan Construction, Inc. <br />in the amount of $16,500 pre- construction services related to the City Services Facility. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Council member Keany asked what energy efficiency items will be included in projects; <br />geothermal or solar. CIP Manager Trettin stated at this point they are looking at a <br />number of energy efficient items, but it is dependent upon the budget. City Manager <br />Fleming is looking for information on solar and passive solar. She noted geothermal is <br />incredibly expensive. <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br />Council member Stolzmann stated a lot of money has already been spent on the Public <br />Works Facility at their current location. She was uncomfortable with approving this <br />contract at this time and suggested waiting until after the budget retreat in January. <br />Council member Lipton stated without the pre- construction management services, the <br />City will not have a firm price in order to evaluate if the project should move forward. He <br />stressed the importance of looking forward and not behind. <br />50 <br />
