Special Meeting Minutes <br /> City of Louisville City Council & <br /> Town of Superior Board of Trustees <br /> December 16, 2013 <br /> Page 7 of 9 <br /> Trustee Williams stated her assumption the staff responded to the letter. <br /> City Manager Fleming was satisfied with the Town of Superior Manager's <br /> responsiveness. He found Town Manager Magley to be very helpful and <br /> accommodating. The two Mayors and Managers met some months ago and he was <br /> personally satisfied, but without any written communication from Superior in follow up, it <br /> was difficult to communicate whether Superior was addressing the Council's concerns. <br /> That was the reason for continual communications. He felt the communities can <br /> collaborate and be good neighbors. <br /> Mayor Andrew Muckle stated the IGA provides 2,000 residential units could develop on <br /> the property, but Superior has no interest in building houses. Mayor Pro Tem Cirelli <br /> stated 160 acres could be developed for housing. <br /> Council member Jasiak inquired about the hotel timeline, and whether it would come in <br /> when Ranch Sports is built. Mayor Andrew Muckle confirmed the timeline for hotels is <br /> when Ranch Sports comes. The developer believes Boulder is underdeveloped in <br /> hotels and the Ice Center would generate weekend tournaments requiring hotel rooms. <br /> Council member Stolzmann requested clarification of the 650 residential units. She <br /> stated she was confused whether it could be residential, flex space or commercial area. <br /> Assistant Town Manager Beth Moyski explained the majority of the 650 units are multi- <br /> residential, they could be multi-level. In the cross-hatched area the first level must be <br /> retail/commercial with the upper floors being multi-family residential. She explained the <br /> solid yellow area must be residential. <br /> Council member Jasiak asked for clarification on the term commercial tax generating. <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Cirelli explained some commercial use could happen, but the Town <br /> wants as much retail as possible and they want those businesses to be successful. <br /> Council member Stolzmann addressed the proposed plan for 250,000 square feet of <br /> parking. Mayor Andrew Muckle stated it is difficult to project, but their hope is for plazas <br /> and restaurants. He would like to have the whole development built out, but it is <br /> dependent upon the market. <br /> Mayor Pro Tern Cirelli stated they received the first proposal for the infrastructure for <br /> Main Street and the core area. The Ice Center will come in next. <br /> Mayor Robert Muckle inquired whether there was a single property owner. Mayor Pro <br /> Tem Cirelli confirmed there is a single property owner, who will sell lots and then the <br /> development of each piece of property will have to be approved by the Board. <br />
