L <br />City0t <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />AGENDA ITEM <br />SUBJECT: <br />HOLE -BY -HOLE ANALYSIS OF GOLF COURSE <br />RECONSTRUCTION PLAN <br />DATE: JANUARY 21, 2014 <br />PRESENTED BY: JOE STEVENS, PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br />SUMMARY: <br />Accompanying this council communication, please find the most recent (3'd revision) <br />preliminary Hole -by -Hole Analysis of the Golf Course Reconstruction Plan. City staff <br />has been working with the Landscape Unlimited design team, the Golf Course Advisory <br />Board (GCAB) and the public on a program that will address golf course reconstruction <br />made necessary because of the September 2013 Colorado flood event as well as <br />implement a number of improvements identified within the adopted Coal Creek Golf <br />Course Improvement Plan. Golf Course Architect, Kevin Norby, will provide City <br />Council with an overview of the preliminary plan and GCAB chairperson, Ken Gambon, <br />will summarize the GCAB perspective. Work -to -date has been influenced by three well - <br />attended open houses, on -going GCAB and citizen input, and the Golf Course <br />Improvement Plan along with requirements pursuant to and as interpreted for FEMA <br />Flood Recovery assistance. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />Staff continues to work with Landscapes Unlimited, GCAB and the public on a <br />preconstruction /design development and construction program that will not exceed $5M. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Prior to bringing a formal recommendation to City Council in February, staff is <br />requesting comments and insights from City Council. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1.
