iii. Samples have been taken of the current water source to see what if any affects there
could be from using this source for irrigation purposes within the residential areas.
iv. Dave Moore with AEL has been contacted for a proposal for the engineering of this
supply line as a separate agreement from our current Design Build scope of work.
3. Meeting with the D/B Team, City, and GCAB.
i. The tree plan was discussed as a follow -up from the on site visit and direction that
involved the City Arborist and Kevin Norby. There are two sets of trees to be addressed
in this plan.
a. Trees that affect playability and turf quality. Kevin generated a tree
improvement plan for this today and was discussed in detail. These trees will be
treated and /or removed by the City. The plan is to leave the stumps where it
makes sense and they will work to remove or mitigate the ones that would be
an issue for golf course improvement plans.
b. Trees that were affected by the flood and /or may be safety hazards. These
trees will also be removed by the City in the same manner as mentioned above.
c. It was noted that all of this work would be done by mid -April so that there is no
hold up with the other golf course improvements.
ii. General Notes from the hole by hole review:
a. Cart path widening and curb program will be updated on a hole by hole basis
where needed.
b. The overall goal is to make the golf course more enjoyable and challenging for
more golfers and all skill levels.
c. Discussion was had and the Pros and Cons from Norby were provided for the re-
numbering of the golf holes.
d. Notes from the members of the GCAB's review if the preliminary plans were
discussed and considered.
e. It was noted that the City stated we would be in violation of the regulations if
we put storm drainage directly into the creek with via drainage pipe. So these
pipes will need to utilize a dry well method or daylight on golf course property
before it goes directly into the stream.
f. LU has done some initial investigation of the green profiles, and it was found
that there is significant sediment in the top 4" of the majority of the greens.
Core samples will be pulled and tested for recommendations. It was also found
that there are significant variations in the sand depths on the greens. This is not
a desirable condition and further recommendations will be made with the
additional due diligence.
Revised 01/21/2014
