The meeting was held on Monday, January 13,
2014, from 3:00 -3:30 at the Golf Course Clubhouse. Joe Stevens began the meeting with an unannounced topic of discussing the drainage issues
along Hole 3. It was noted that that there is a request by homeowners and City Council to look
at the drainage pattern of the area adjacent to hole #3 that drains from the golf course that
adversely affects approximately six homes and common on HOA property.
i. The City engineer stated that the water is doing what was originally designed, and he
will look into the issue some more. Dennis stated whether or not it is working as
originally designed it is adversely affecting the homes and common properties.
ii. Joe stated that the drainage issue would be looked into further and that a potential joint
solution between the City and the HOA may be necessary.
iii. Dennis stated that the drainage problem needs to be fixed during the golf course
reconstruction.
2. There have been ongoing discussions between the City and the HOA to install a water line from
the City "re use" water source to irrigate the lawns and common properties at the Springs HOA.
i. There were initial discussions of the pros and cons of using the water for this purpose.
ii. Chris Bradford and Chris Litchy both voiced concern about the chemistry of the water
affecting the evergreen trees and suggested that the HOA should have their landscape
contractor provide consultation. Dennis agreed that the HOA would take those steps as
part of the investigation into implementing this concept.
Revised 01/21/2014
