They voted on
whether retail shops could put slogans on hats/shirts to promote their business. It
st
was asked if that violated the 1 Amendment.
The city council also discussed dual licensing- could businesses have both
a medical and retail license- they said if so then every single thing would hav eto
be kept separate.
LOTS of discussion on the marijuana issue. Councilman Lipton said it was
not up to Louisville to decide whether it was legal or not, but whether the
businesses could be in town.
Mitchell and Tyler had to leave before the final vote, but said the news
revealed city council voted yes. They also said that Patricia Seader was officially
recognized for her many years of service to the Historical Commission.

Eyes and Ears-
Mitchell- doing fundraiser for Victor Helberg Memorial Park, the only
Louisville police officer killed in the line of duty.
Karen- her friends and fellow NHS played for the residents at Balfour and
YAB, we should think of focusing on services to the seniors at Balfour.

Comments From Liaisons-
Mandy- thank you for all your help at Dessert & Story Time with Santa. As
always, it was a huge success, and everyone had a great time.
Kriska- Discussed upcoming events at the library for teens, such as Game
Night, Writing group and craft programs.

Discussion Items for Next Meeting-
Slogans/Names for the challenge
Count of the dear Louisville books
Royal Ball

Adjourn- 8:01 pm
