<br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that this resolution is approving a purchase contract to buy <br />and sell vacant real estate at 900 Front Street for $10,000.00. The lot is 5, 912 s.f. with 25 off-street <br />parking spaces. <br /> <br />Lathrop moved that Council approve the revised Resolution No. 17, Series 1996, and direct the <br />Mayor Pro-tern to execute the Purchase Contract to Buy and Sell Vacant Real Estate. Seconded by <br />Levihn. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 4 - 0 vote with Davidson and Mayer being excused <br />and Keany being absent. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1209, SERIES 1996 - AMENDING CHAPTER 14.20 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO PERMIT THE APPOINTMENT OF AN <br />ASSOCIA TE MEMBER TO THE TREE BOARD - 1ST READING - SET PUBLIC <br />HEARING 2/20/96 <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1209, Series 1996, "An ordinance amending Chapter 14.20 <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code to permit the appointment of an associate member to the Tree <br />Board. " <br /> <br />Davidson stated that one of the ladies interviewed for the Tree Board was exceptionally qualified and <br />the interviewers felt an associate position for the Board was in order. <br /> <br />Mayer stated that the Tree Board's duties had expanded significantly in the past four years and <br />additional assistance and technical expertise from knowledgeable citizens would be of great <br />assistance. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1209, Series 1996, amending Chapter 14.20 of <br />the Louisville Municipal Code permitting the appointment of an associate member of the Tree Board <br />and set out for public hearing on February 20, 1996. " <br /> <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that this is for the pipeline to Superior from the <br />Louisville/Superior pump station near Hecla Lake across the eastern edge of Louisville, diagonally <br />along Coal Creek to the top of the mesa, crossing near the intersection of Health Park Drive and 88th <br />Street into Superior.
