Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Nlinutes <br />January 13, 2014 <br />Page 9 of 11 <br />Fahey stated the 2nd grade classes tour the museum each year. <br />La Grave recommended putting a subcommittee together for preservation month and bring <br />back ideas to our next meeting. <br />Echohawk volunteered to work with La Grave on the subcommittee. <br />Committee Reports — <br />Historical Commission liaison <br />Haley stated there was not a meeting in December. She stated she will be attending <br />the January meeting and will report in February. <br />Election of Officers <br />Stewart stated this is to elect chair and vice chair. He is wishing to step down and allow <br />someone else to chair the meetings. <br />La Grave stated he has served as vice chair and is willing to chair. <br />Watson stated he is interested chairing the meetings as well. <br />Fasick nominated Watson. <br />Fahey recommended voting on the two and stated the winner gets chair and second <br />place gets vice chair. <br />La Grave stated he would not be interested in being vice chair again. <br />Haley stated she would be willing to be a vice chair. <br />Stewart recommended La Grave as chair and Watson as vice chair. <br />Haley recommended voting for chair first. <br />The HPC agreed. <br />La Grave stated he would withdraw his nomination for chair, making Watson chair. <br />Haley stated she would be willing to be vice chair. <br />Motion for officers passed 7 to 0. <br />Update on Demolition Requests - 1428 Cannon, 556 Lincoln <br />No additional comments were discussed. <br />Update on Alteration Certificate Requests — none <br />
