John Hansen will make sure that all affected organizations be notified regarding
the "Colorado Kind of Christmas" book listings.
Pat Howard announced that the SCFD grant checks have been received as
follows: $2500 for ICMS, $600 for the Library Project, $2500 for LAA, and
$4000 for LAHC operating funds.
John Hansen reported that the CCCT needs to submit copy of receipts to
complete the grant process.
Reports:
Treasurer's report: The treasurer's report was read and approved.
Treasurer's report is attached. John Hansen recommended that in the
future the 'money market account' be termed the 'designated account' as
the funds are specified.
Wanda Tierney asked that the allocation of the remaining funds be
discussed at the November meeting.
There were no outstanding bills.
• Building committee: John Hansen reported that presentation
drawings, blueprints and cost estimates are being prepared. The
building committee will meet to review the plans when complete. It was
suggested that the plans completed to date be available next week for
the Arts Governing Council meeting. Pat Howard again emphasized that
the building at 801 Grant St. be designated as an Arts Building by the
city.
Young Artists Exhibit: John Hansen read the letter sent to the area art
teachers announcing dates and asking for volunteers. Louisville
schools, preschools, and St. Louis School have been invited to
participate. It was recommended that the LAHC provide music and
refreshments for the opening night reception and that a letter be drafted
to music teachers in the area suggesting a recital on December 4th from
4-9 p.m. at the opening. It was also suggested the the building at 801
Grant be decorated with lights for the occasion. Pat Howard and Marilyn
Rest volunteered to handle the decorations. Linn Culbertson, Scott
Calder, and John Hansen volunteered to oversee the music program.
Pat Howard motioned that the LAHC sponsor the recital portion of the
Young Artist Exhibit. The motion was 2nd by Wanda Marie Tierney and
unanimously approved.
• Page 2
