Open Space Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Louisville Public Library: First Floor Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />Wednesday, February 12th, 2014 <br />7:00pm <br />I. Call to Order <br /> Helen called the meeting to order at 7:03pm. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Board Members Present: Helen Moshak (chair), Tom Davinroy, Christopher <br />Smith, Laura Scott Denton, Linda Smith, Spencer Guthrie, Mike Schantz <br />(remotely, via conference call) <br /> Board Members Absent: Missy Davis <br />Staff Members Present: Ember Brignull <br />City Council Member Present: Jeff Lipton <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />Tom moved to approve the agenda as written. Spencer seconded. The motion <br />was unanimous. <br />IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes <br />9, item X. change Linda moved to approve the minutes <br />with that single correction. Christopher seconded. The motion was unanimous. <br />V. Staff Updates <br />Updates on the Coal Creek Trail: <br />1) The Open Space Division is working with the Atkinson Design Group <br />to map and assess the flood damage on the Coal Creek Trail system. <br />Ember shared the draft map that resulted from the project. The <br />project also includes photographs of damage and dimensions and <br />cost estimates to repair the trail back to pre-flood conditions. <br />2) The Open Space Division submitted a GOCO grant application <br />requesting a 12.5% matching grant for trail repairs. FEMA may cover <br />up to 75% and the State up to 12.5% of the trail reconstruction cost. <br />The award of the grants will be announced in April. <br />3) The RFP will be posted this week for the design build of the Coal <br />Creek Trail.
