<br />RESOLUTION NO. 22, SERIES 1996 - WAIVING CERTAIN FEES AND MAKING IN- <br />KIND CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE LOUISVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY FAMILY <br />HOUSING <br /> <br />Ronda Kelley, Management Assistant, stated that the Louisville Housing Authority (LHA) had <br />proposed a family site located on East Street for low income families needing housing in Louisville. <br />They are currently developing the plans and were requesting some fee waivers, a fire hydrant, paving <br />of the road through the site, including a sidewalk with gutters on the west side. This resolution <br />would authorize the waiving of the Service Expansion and Thoroughfare Fees, the Use Tax on <br />residential construction material, make in-kind contributions in the amount of the Permit, Plan Check <br />and Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical Fees for the LHA's East Street Family Housing Development, <br />paving of East Street, including sidewalks and gutters on the west side, and the fire hydrant. <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, clarified that the improvements on East Street are consistent with <br />future Budget appropriations. <br /> <br />Michael Reis, LHA, was there to answer any questions. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council questions or motions. <br /> <br />Keany moved that Council approve Resolution No. 22, Series 1996, waiving certain fees and making <br />in-kind contributions to the Louisville Housing Authority for family housing. Seconded by Levihn. <br />Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 5 - 0 vote with Davidson and Lathrop being absent. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1214, SERIES 1996 - ESTABLISHING A BOARD OF APPEALS IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE BUILDING CODES ADOPTED BY REFERENCE WITHIN <br />TITLE 15 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE - 1ST READING - SET PUBLIC <br />HEARING 4/2/96 <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1214, Series 1996, "An ordinance establishing a Board of <br />Appeals in connection with the Building Codes adopted by reference within Title 15 of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code." <br /> <br />Tom Talboom, Chief Building Official, stated that this ordinance affords individuals due process to <br />appeal any decisions made by the building official. <br /> <br />Sisk called for Council comments, questions, or motions. <br /> <br />Keany moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1214, Series 1996, at first reading, set out for <br />publication and set a public hearing for April 16, 1996. Seconded by Howard. Roll call was taken. <br />Motion passed by a 5 - 0 vote with Davidson and Lathrop being absent. <br /> <br />5 <br />
