Call to Order: Chair Mike Frontzcak called the meeting to order at <br />7:15PM. <br />II. Roll Call: Mike Frontzcak, Erik Gustafson, Gina Lopez, Ellen Toon, <br />Shelly Alm, Neal Griggsmiller, Mark Newland, Beverlee White. Staff <br />members present: Dean Johnson, Joe Stevens. Council member present: <br />Susan Loo. Guest: Barbara Newland. <br />III. Agenda approved by all members. <br />IV. Minutes from February 6, 2014 approved. <br />V. Public comments: Emerald Ash Borer program — excellent with about <br />70 attendees. Joe Stevens reported that the City is still considering whether <br />to treat in -house or contract the work. A list of certified applicators and <br />approved treatments will be published on the City website, along with <br />treatment updates. City will continue to prioritize trees to be treated. Mike <br />Frontzcak reported on the 3/18 meeting to discuss the Police Memorial <br />on Via Appia. Dean Johnson will arrange for a new HFAB meeting <br />location: Paramount Room, Louisville Rec Center starting with the April <br />3RD meeting. Gretchen from Pollination Planet will be next month's <br />speaker on how to promote plant habitat and pollinators in the back yard. <br />VI. Review Council communication Form for 2014 Study Session (May 27) - <br />Defer to the April Meeting. In the meantime, members were encouraged to <br />send pictures of 2013/2014 HFAB activities, including Arbor Day planting <br />(4/18) to Dean for the HFAB Study Session Power Point program. <br />VII. HFAB and /or Arboretum web page. All agreed that the current web page is <br />outdated. The City (Martin) is working on updating the website.
