Louisville SustainabilityAdvisory Board <br />Dave mentioned that the RFP for new residential waste contract is coming out to try and get <br />better diversion, education, natural gas powered trucks, etc& <br />Dave mentioned that the City is building a new city services building where waste will be a <br />priority. <br />Mary Ann discussed the following: <br />June 10th as date to discuss with council <br />Citizens group is small but Mary Ann is prompting expansion <br />Mary Ann is meeting with Chicane. This group meeting will be to discuss how they work things <br />with regard to gardens, and to get specifics on what we would present to council. <br />Cottonwood Park may still be an option, but Mary Ann is skeptical. <br />The Church at Cottonwood is going to be deconstructed (Dave would have a year to bring it <br />down) but it has asbestos and uses a lot of energy. <br />A question was brought up: Is there a better use for the building that a study can show? <br />Executive summary was sent to Dave today <br />Early April should see draft report and the Sustainability Board can review at next LSAB <br />meeting <br />Dave and David called with provider twice in the last few weeks. <br />A lot of data were presented - residential, commercial, some indicated that we are doing well <br />as a city, some data had bad indications, such as food, waste, etc& <br />Mary Ann asked if we were being compared to similar cities or rules of thumb. <br />The Board decided that we should all see the report as soon as it is recei <br />review and strategize about next steps. <br />Justine and Mark met after council study session to determine wh <br />create a sustainability roadmap. <br />Where are we as compared to the 2008 plan from the county <br />Justine indicated that she will send out her analysis out to LSAB <br />A question was raised about how we can be inclusive to incorporate all business and groups <br />CTC, DBA, etc& <br />Mark has been gathering some additional data on this discussion <br />Jim asked if there are any other input items which should be considered. <br />Mary Ann indicated that we should include livable cities concept <br />Jim posed the question of what do inputs look like to create objectives? <br />Justine posed the question of what are the problem areas, and how do we identify <br />them? <br />LSAB agrees to want to include all other city boards and commissions to include <br />representation from their perspectives on input for the plan <br />Goal of outcome is to have roadmap options (categories), buildin <br />reason and to create a recommendation from LSAB to council about <br />council approval. <br />Roadmap needs to consider the council concerns (last bullets) <br />
