City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />April 1, 2014 <br />Page 5 of 24 <br />The net effect of the agreement is the City of Louisville will assume the operation of <br />Coal Creek Golf Course, keep all of the golf shop, dining room and maintenance <br />inventories, one (1) Cafe Express gas powered beverage cart, two (2) gas powered <br />marshal carts and receive a payment of $55,000. The staff recommended the City <br />Council accept WGP's offer. <br />COUNCIL QUESTIONS <br />Council member Stolzmann reported on public comments that the list of Peak and <br />Summit Players was incomplete. Parks and Recreation Director Stevens explained <br />staff has asked for additional information including email and the mailing list of members <br />so the City can contact those individuals. Also, Western has agreed to work with the <br />City over a six -month period to clear up any discrepancies. If a Peak or Summit player <br />can provide a cancelled check or receipt, the City will honor their payment. <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Dalton moved the City accept the Termination Agreement <br />with Western Golf Properties, seconded by Council member Keany. Roll call vote was <br />taken. The motion carried by a vote of 6 -0. <br />QUARTERLY CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT (CIP) UPDATE <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />CIP Manager Trettin provided an update on the key projects for the first quarter of 2014. <br />City Services Facility: Public Works and Parks administrative /shop functions and <br />vehicle maintenance /storage. The current site is undersized to fit City requirements and <br />insufficient for parking and circulation. The City acquired a 13.3 acre parcel of land in <br />CTC in October, 2013, with Commercial /Industrial Zoning. The building was designed <br />to Industrial standards but was increased to Commercial standards to meet zoning and <br />create a "Gateway" location for the Southeast entrance. Staff is preparing a DOLA grant <br />application in the amount of $1,000,000. The PUD will be reviewed by the Planning <br />Commission in August 2014 and the City Council in September 2014. Construction <br />proposed for early autumn of 2014. <br />COUNCIL QUESTIONS <br />Council member Lipton inquired about the budget for the guaranteed maximum price? <br />CIP Manager Trettin explained the guaranteed maximum price has not been set as staff <br />is waiting for design documents. There are estimates, but not a guaranteed maximum <br />price. The construction budget is $13.1 million. <br />Council member Lipton asked if there have been any communication from the design <br />team about the budget. CIP Manager Trettin stated it was close. She explained going <br />from Industrial Standards to Commercial Standards did increase the cost. They are <br />
