<br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1221, Series 1996, "An ordinance approving an annexation <br />known as the Southeast Louisville Annexation - south 96th Street & Dillon Road No.2, to the City <br />of Louisville, Colorado." <br /> <br />Sisk asked if anyone was adverse to these ordinances being adopted as emergency ordinances. <br /> <br />Davidson stated that Council's direction would be that the emergency clause be included at second <br />reading. <br /> <br />Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1221, Series 1996, south 96th Street and Dillon <br />Road annexation, first reading, and set out for publication and set a public hearing for August 6, <br />1996. Seconded by Sisk. All in favor. <br /> <br />OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, reviewed the 4th of July events. Next Tuesday night it was <br />anticipated that R TD would have an item on their agenda regarding the Louisville circulator bus and <br />he wanted to know what Council members would be attending. The Work Session for goal setting <br />will be Wednesday, June 26. Simmons passed out invitations/notices about the grand opening at the <br />Recycling Center on Saturday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. On Monday, July 1, there will be a grand <br />opening of the Louisville Sports Complex. Simmons had gotten a quote of$11,489 to replace the <br />three rejected light poles at Miner's Field and the City would follow through with the replacement. <br /> <br />Davidson suggested that at the same time they reposition the lights. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Davidson reported that he and Bill Simmons had met with Commission Ron Stewart, the Mayor, and <br />acting City Administrator of Lafayette to discuss the Lastoka property. The last piece of that <br />property had been purchased. The agreement with the County and Lafayette called for the <br />establishment of a management committee. As part of that they wanted to get a citizen's task force, <br />consisting of two members appointed by the County, two members appointed by the City of <br />Louisville, and two members appointed by the City of Lafayette to advise them on what the property <br />should be, should it remain agricultural, etc. It had been proposed by Teresa Beers to create an <br />educational center on the property.
