Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />May 19, 2014 <br />Page 4of 4 <br />PM. Rommelfangerseconded. Roll Call Vote: Carlson –yes, Machado – <br />yes, Rommelfanger –yes, Lipton –yes and Hughes –yes. <br />Police Department Reports <br />Officer Redard reported there was good attendance at the special seller/server <br />training for Mudrock’s and exceptional attendance at the training for the Street <br />Faireservers. <br />Secretary’s Report <br />Hanson thanked the police department for the special seller/server trainings. <br />Hanson reportedAugustina’s Winery has applied to have an offsite sales room at <br />the Farmers Market. <br />Authority Attorney’s Report <br />Authority Attorney Culley informed the Authority a new bill had been signed by <br />the governor concerning paying fines in lieu of suspension. This bill allows <br />considering a fine in lieu for suspension imposed of over 14 days and allows fine <br />in lieu even if the license had been suspended in the prior 2 years. <br />Carlson noted this allowed the Authority more flexibility. Attorney Culley noted <br />this bill was supported by the Colorado Municipal League. <br />Authority Comment <br />Rommelfanger thanked the Authority for the opportunity to serve and reported he <br />had entered a letter of resignation. He will be moving out of the City and will be <br />unable to serve on the Authority. The members of the Authority thanked Mr. <br />Rommelfanger for his many years of excellent service. <br />Carlson noted the Liquor Enforcement Division has one more industry workshop. <br />They are revamping the rules and will engage in rulemaking later in the summer <br />along with work on the matrix for fines and suspension to establish some <br />consistency across the State. <br />Adjourn–Rommelfanger moved to adjourn. Lipton seconded. All in favor. The <br />meeting was adjourned at 7:24p.m. <br />
