Local Licensing Authority <br />Minutes <br />May 19, 2014 <br />Page 3of 4 <br />events some nights.He stated the idea was to have an arcade and sell some <br />beer, not the reverse. <br />Lipton asked about any seller/server trainings attended.Mr. Long and Ms. <br />Godman reported they are signed up for TIPS training and will be the only ones <br />serving at this point. <br />Chairperson Carlson asked if anyone else wanted to speak for or against the <br />application. Hearing no comments, he asked the applicant for final comments. <br />Mr. Long stated it was not the intent to have a bar scene at the establishment <br />and alcohol service would be highly controlled. <br />Carlson thanked the applicant, closed the public hearing and asked for Authority <br />comment. <br />Rommelfanger commented this establishment would draw persons under age <br />and asked if any other similar establishments existed. Mr. Long reported <br />Boulder, Ft. Collins, Lyons and Denver had similar establishments. Examining <br />those establishments and hearing from friends, helped them determine to keep it <br />more of an adult and family establishment in the evenings. <br />Authority Attorney Culley reminded the Authority of the criteria for approval of the <br />license. Reasonable requirement of the neighborhood establishing needs and <br />desire of the neighborhood, type and number of available liquor licensesand <br />denial can hinge on findings of applicant being not of good moral character. <br />Lipton inquired if they had done any survey of the neighborhood. Mr. Long <br />reported all the comments they had received had been positive. One gentleman <br />had asked for allowing teenagers unaccompanied in the evening hours. <br />Hughesmoved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the <br />applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitantsof the neighborhood <br />desire the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable <br />requirements of the neighborhood, all City and State law requirements have <br />been met and, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority <br />approve issuance of a beer and winelicense for Tilt EntertainmentLLC. <br />Rommelfangerseconded. Roll Call Vote: Lipton –yes, Machado –yes, <br />Rommelfanger –yes, Hughes –yes and Carlson –yes. License approved. <br />B. Set Boundaries of the Neighborhood and Public Hearing –New <br /> Hotel and Restaurant LiquorLicense Application –Cinebarre LLC <br /> d/b/a Cinebarre –1164 W. Dillon Road <br />Liptonmoved the boundaries of the neighborhood be set as the city limits of <br />the City of Louisville and the public hearing be set for June 23, 2014 at 7:00 <br />
