Cityq <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO - SINCE 1870 <br />Open Space Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Wednesday, June 11th, 2014 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />First Floor Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />7:OOpm <br />I. Call to Order- Helen called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. <br />II. Roll Call - <br />Board Members Present: Mike Schantz, Helen Moshak, Missy Davis, Tom Davinroy, <br />Linda Smith, Christopher Smith and Laura Scott Denton <br />Board Members Absent: Spencer Guthrie <br />Staff Members Present: Catherine Jepson and Joe Stevens <br />City Council Member Present: Jeffery Lipton <br />III. Approval of Agenda- Tom moved to approve the agenda. Linda seconded. The <br />motion was passed unanimously. <br />IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes- Christopher suggested a correction: page 3, <br />penultimate paragraph. The sentence "Christopher said it will not be subdivided," needs <br />to be changed to "Sean said it will not be subdivided." Missy suggested a correction: <br />page 3, third paragraph. The word "out -of- towers" needs to be changed to "out -of- <br />towners." Linda moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting with the two <br />mentioned corrections. Missy seconded. The motion was passed unanimously. <br />V. Staff Updates <br />1. Staff has submitted the final project worksheet to FEMA regarding funding repairs of <br />flood damage including repairs on Coal Creek Trail, Davidson Mesa trail, Coyote Run <br />trail, Atkinson Design's Coal Creek Trail Assessment, filling holes from debris removal <br />contract, Coal Creek Trail reconstruction, and staff time. Joe doesn't have a prediction <br />for the funding timeline. If the grant package is over $1 million it will have to go through <br />multiple reviews. <br />2. Still working on the second and third sections of the Coal Creek Trail repair plan. <br />3. Several sections of the Coal Creek Trail are open, where repairs are complete. <br />4. McCaslin /Washington Underpass has "soft- opened." A formal ribbon cutting will <br />happen in late July. <br />5. Vault toilet installation at Harper Lake is scheduled for late July. <br />6. Staff is drafting the wayfinding RFP which will be ready for the wayfinding <br />subcommittee to review in late June. <br />7. Hecla Lake is full. Water is flowing from the lake to irrigate the fields at the Harney <br />Lastoka property. <br />8. Staff met with the Youth Corp team leader. Open Space will have the Youth Corps <br />working from June 17 -July 10, and then Parks will have the group.
