Now there is a design and a hard cost. <br />Council member Loo asked for an explanation on why the Police Department's <br />emergency response maps were taken out and then put back in. Chief Hayes explained <br />the paper versions were taken out and replaced with electronic versions at a cost of <br />$500 per year for license fees and renewal. <br />Council member Loo addressed the Dillon /St Andrews intersection improvements. <br />She stated her understanding the cost is going up and voiced her preference to budget <br />a sufficient amount of funds to make the improvements. <br />Mayor Muckle addressed the HR Security improvements, which is proposed over a two <br />year period. He asked if the HR Department is in agreement with the proposal. Human <br />Resources Manager Hix confirmed she was in agreement. <br />Mayor Muckle suggested of the proposed four quiet zones; the Dillon Road crossing be <br />removed. Council member Stolzmann reported hearing from constituents in the Coal <br />Creek Ranch area, the Dillon Road is the loudest area because of the open fields. <br />Council member Loo inquired about the status of the St. Louis Church development. <br />Planning and Building Safety Director Russ stated it is an approved development, but <br />the Planning Division has not heard from them. Council member Loo felt if the church <br />and school are developed, the quiet zones should be put in <br />Mayor Muckle requested a Capital Project line -item for the museum expansion. <br />Mayor Muckle asked if the concessions at the Sports Complex cover their expenses. <br />Recreation Manager Martin stated a vendor handles concessions, but typically <br />concessions are not self- sustaining. <br />Mayor Muckle voiced his support for alternate fuel police cars. <br />Council member Stolzmann addressed the CIP request for demonstration gardens in <br />different years. Parks Superintendent Johnson explained the demonstration garden at <br />the arboretum is being deconstructing partly due to maintenance costs. The second is <br />an Open Space Demonstration Garden supported by the HFAB. <br />Council member Stolzmann felt similar projects, should be lumped together to decrease <br />construction costs. She was not in favor of another demonstration garden when the one <br />at the Arboretum is not well maintained. <br />Council member Keany noted the demonstration gardens are planned in three different <br />areas, including trailheads. <br />Council member Stolzmann was not in favor of the trail for the future tennis courts <br />
