Parks Superintendent Johnson explained the demonstration garden at
the arboretum is being deconstructing partly due to maintenance costs. The second is
an Open Space Demonstration Garden supported by the HFAB.
Council member Stolzmann felt similar projects, should be lumped together to decrease
construction costs. She was not in favor of another demonstration garden when the one
at the Arboretum is not well maintained.
Council member Keany noted the demonstration gardens are planned in three different
areas, including trailheads.
Council member Stolzmann was not in favor of the trail for the future tennis courts
