L <br />Cityoj <br />Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes: Wednesday, June 18, 2014 <br />City Hall, 749 Main Street, Spruce Room <br />I. Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm by Chair Justine Vigil- Tapia. Meeting <br />Minutes taken by Claudia Lenz. <br />II. Roll Call: (Members present in bold): Jim Bradford, Mary Ann Heaney, David Hsu, Claudia <br />Lenz, Mark Persichetti; Justine Vigil- Tapia; and new member Steve Domenico; Staff Liaison <br />Dave Szabados; City - Council Liaison Ashley Stolzmann. In attendance was Tom Brophy, Zero <br />Waste director for Louisville street fair and Angie Layton citizen member for Community Gardens. <br />III. Approval of Current - Meeting's Agenda: The agenda was approved as -is. <br />IV. Approval of May Meeting Minutes: The minutes from the May 21 meeting were approved as -is. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: <br />• Tom Brophy asked why the Taste of Louisville was not a zero waste event. Ashley said she <br />would check with City Council as to why it was not. <br />VI. "Ashley's Minute" — Update on Council activities <br />• Ashley reported the tree arboretum is not being maintained. Is LSAB interested in taking on <br />this project? <br />• Parts of Coal Creek trail are open, caution is still advised <br />• HMMF is open to Louisville residents free of charge to recycle hazardous waste, residents can <br />also pick up free of charge recycled or reusable products for home, auto and garden located at <br />1901 63rd St., (303) 441 -4800 <br />• Tree Branch Recycle is open first full weekend of each month, located north of the cemetery <br />on Empire Road. Scrap metal recycling is also available there. <br />VII. Energy Baseline Study Comments <br />• Skype Call with Matthew Prorok, University of Minnesota to discuss draft report completed by <br />University of Minnesota for the City of Louisville Baseline Energy Study. Overall LSAB was <br />happy with current draft of report. Dave H. asked for comments from LSAB to incorporate <br />prior to presenting to City Council Study session on July 8. Dave Zabados will be on vacation <br />for City Council Study Session, he suggested Dave H. present background of study, initial <br />goals, information resulting from study and future steps for council to consider. <br />VIII. Sustainability Roadmap Discussion <br />• The subsets presented outlines for each of the following: Energy Efficiency, Resource <br />Conservation and Localization (see attachments) these outlines will continue to be revised in <br />the next few months with presentations to City Council later in the year.
