He stated this request is for
windows and a rear door. He also gave a brief background of the landmarked structure. He
stated staff recommends approval of the alteration certificate plus approval of the grant
request.
Watson asked for disclosures from the board. None were heard.
Stewart stated he was puzzled by the assessment, especially the priorities. He stated the
drainage was a priority and the remainder of the elements were equal priority. He asked how
to proceed.
Robinson stated since the remaining items are equal it is up to the applicant.
Stewart asked if this were part of the Jefferson Place Survey and if there had been any
intensive level survey done for this property.
Robinson stated this was a part of the Jefferson Place Survey.
Stewart stated the question is about the importance of the windows and whether they can be
repaired instead of replaced.
Robinson stated the 1948 photo shows one of the front windows has been changed since
1948.
Watson asked if there was a period of significance of this property and what sort of trim will the
new windows have.
Robinson stated there was not a period of significance established for this structure and he
would recommend we discuss the window trims with the owner.
Echohawk asked if there were any photos of the windows to be replaced.
Robinson showed a photo and described the windows.
La Grave asked if they were replacing windows with windows, not adding windows.
Robinson answered in the affirmative.
Applicant Presentation
