Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 24, 2013 <br />Page 2of 44 <br />Resolution No. 01, Series 2013: Establish locations for posting of public <br />notices <br />Lipton requested the 2013 Election of Officers and the adoption of Resolution No. 1, <br />Series 2013 be discussed following the review, discussion and action for the <br />Comprehensive Plan. All Commissioners agreed with the request. <br />Discussion and Action: <br />DRAFT Principles/Policies for portions of the 2012 Comprehensive Plan <br />Update <br />Introduction: <br />Russ provided the background summary for the 2012 Comprehensive Plan. <br />McMillan provided the Framework Plan information. <br />Public Comment: <br />Barney Funk, 1104 Hillside Lane, asked for a clarification of the density of new <br />housing along the west side of McCaslin and its close proximity to the Centennial <br />Heights West Subdivision. <br />Russ reviewed with the aid of a slide the location of the proposed residential along <br />the west side of McCaslin. <br />Funk thanked staff for the clarification. <br />Page by page review: <br />Lipton reviewed the process for the page by page overview of the draft <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />The incorporatedredline document (pages 5-44) reflectsthe changes suggested by <br />the Planning Commissioners during the page by page review. The document also <br />includes the additional proofreading edits from staff. <br />Action Items: <br />2013 Election of Officers <br />Lipton reviewed the options presented in the Staff Memo regarding the Election of <br />Officers. <br />Tengler moved and Brauneis seconded a motion to elect the current slate of <br />officers: Lipton, chair; Pritchard, vice-chair and O’Connell, secretary for 2013. <br />Lipton asked Pritchard and O’Connell if they were interested in serving another <br />term. <br />Both indicated they would be willing to serve. <br />Motion passed by voice vote. <br />Resolution No. 01, Series 2013: Establish locations for posting of public <br />notices <br />Lipton asked staff if the posting locations had changed from the previous years. <br />
