City Council
Meeting Minutes
July 15, 2014
Department issuing tickets to cars parked along public streets. She emailed the DBA
and voiced her displeasure with the issuance of parking tickets on Street Faire nights.
She distributed copies of the email to the City Council. She noted many of the homes in
the Murphy subdivision do not have garages or driveways and now do not have on-
street parking because of the parking restrictions. She felt the parking signage is
random and invasive and without any prior notice. She volunteered to serve on the
City's Parking Task Force and represent South Main Street.
Erin Cox, 2536 Sunrise Court, Louisville, CO voiced her concern over the restricted
hours for open swim at Memory Square Pool. The Monday through Thursday 1:00 -
4:00 pm hours are very restrictive for families with young children. Open swim in the
morning between 10:00 am — 12:00 pm would be ideal because it would not disturb
children's nap time. The Dolphin Swim Team and private lessons use the pool in the
mornings and suggested moving the private lessons to the Recreation Center Pool.
John S. Nahodyl, 2333 Dogwood Circle, Louisville, CO addressed a public safety and
traffic enforcement issue regarding Steel Ranch and Steel Street. Steel Street is a
northbound one -way street, however residents of the development access are driving
south on Steel Street to access Main Street. This practice impacts the two westbound
lanes of South Boulder Road and is a reckless disregard of the posted signage. He
asked City Council to direct the Police Department to monitor the intersection and
provide enforcement on the one -way street. He distributed copies of a map of the area
in question.
APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA
A. Approval of the Bills
B. Approval of Minutes —July 1, 2014
C.
