<br />PUBLIC HEARING - REQUEST FOR LIVE MUSIC/AMPLIFIED SOUND IN <br />RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that the application had been made, public hearing <br />advertised, and the applicant had fulfilled all of the requirements. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing and called for the applicant's presentation. <br /> <br />Applicant had been notified of the public hearing, but was not present. <br /> <br />Davidson called for anyone in the audience wishing to speak on the request for live music. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council comments or motions. <br /> <br />Mayer was concerned that the request was from 6:00 p.m. until midnight and the loud noise that late <br />might disturb the neighborhood. <br /> <br />Keany asked how the excessive noise problem would be handled. <br /> <br />Bruce Goodman, Police Chief, stated that the permit is not a waiver to disturbance, so they would <br />be asked to tone it down if complaints were received. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council approve the application to allow live music/amplified sound. Seconded by <br />Keany. TIMES <br />7/6/96) <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1226, Series 1996, "An ordinance calling for a Special <br />Election for November 5, 1996, to be conducted as a coordinated election, to refer a ballot issue to <br />a vote of the registered electors of the City, and election to utilize the requirements of the Uniform <br />Election Code of 1992. " <br /> <br />Dianne Ray, Finance Director, stated that by passing this amendment and putting this on the ballot <br />to opt out of the Tabor Amendment, the City would be able to maintain revenue within the City <br /> <br />3 <br />
