<br />Applicant Summary: <br /> <br />Public Hearing Closed / Commission Comments / Vote: <br /> <br /> <br />Because of the efficiency of the applicants and the Planning Commission members the above <br />agenda times were completed before 6:30 p.m. therefore, Chairman Lipton requested that the <br />commission give consideration to agenda item #6. Hearing no objection he moved to that <br />discussion. See agenda item #6 for details. <br /> <br />Chairman Lipton called a 20 recess prior to the PSCo agenda item. This is so the public hearing <br />does not start until the advertised time of 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 51, Series 2000 <br />, Special review use to upgrade the existing above ground <br />PSCo power lines, running north-south generally ½-mile east of McCaslin Blvd., remanded <br />from City Council for further Planning Commission consideration. Case # 00-003-UR <br />(NOTE: Public hearing will not open prior to 7:00 p.m.) <br /> <br /> <br />After the recess, Chairman Lipton called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson is recused from the public hearing. <br /> <br />Staff Public Notice Certification: <br /> <br />Paul Wood reported that the required public notice was published in the Boulder Daily Camera on <br />November 26, 2000 and was posted in Louisville City Hall November 22, 2000. <br /> <br />Staff Report of Facts and Issues: <br /> <br />Paul Wood reminded the Commissioner’s that the agenda item they are now considering is a <br />remand of the September 19, 2000 City Council meeting and not a new application. <br /> <br />The standing request from PSCo is to re-build an existing, aboveground, 115 kV electric <br />transmission line that was constructed in 1955 within a 75’ wide Public Service right-of-way. The <br />transmission line originates at the Valmont Reservior generation facility, runs from the Louisville <br />Reservior, north of South Boulder Road, directly south of the Coal Creek Golf Course, then runs <br />parallel with US 36 through the Coal Creek Ranch Subdivision No. 3, Avista Health Park to the <br />Louisville substation located at STK. The line is approximately 4.4 miles long in the City of <br />Louisville. It provides service to Broomfield and Federal Heights and terminates at the Cherokee <br />generation facility in North Denver. <br /> <br />On June 13, 2000 the Planning Commission closed the public hearing, and by a vote of 6:0 <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br />
