Motion passes 6:0. <br /> <br /> <br />E.Resolution No. 47, Series 1999, Adopting by Ordinance the Industrial Development <br />Design Standards and Guidelines (IDDSG) as an amendment to the zoning code. <br /> <br />Staff Public Notice Certification: <br /> <br />Ken Johnstone, Principal Planner, certified that public notice was published in the Daily Camera for <br />the October 21, hearing date on October 6,1999. Due to a lack of a quorum at that meeting the <br />meeting was continued to November 18, 1999. No additional publication was necessary, however, a <br />mailing was done as a courtesy to all industrial property owners in the city on October 28. <br /> <br />Staff Report: <br /> <br />Mr. Johnstone stated that this is a document that has been drafted under the guidance of a steering <br />committee that was appointed by the Mayor earlier this year. Two Planning Commissioners, Lipton <br />and McAllister, two members of Council, several members of the design community who continuously <br />work on projects in the CTC and industrial projects in the city. The steering committee held eight to <br />ten meetings to develop this document, it has also been through a joint work session. Public input for <br />the process has been solicited through newspaper publications as well as two direct mailings to all <br />industrial property members in the city. Mr. Johnstone gave the details of this matter as stated in the <br />Staff report. <br /> <br />Craig Kitzman, City Engineer, was available for questions from the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Members of the Public: <br /> <br />John Lanterman, Landscape Architect. Mr. Lanterman asked what the process if for adoption and <br />when this will be final. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnstone stated that the Planning Commission can act on it at this time and forward it to City <br />Council. There would have to be a first and second reading, which could occur in December. <br /> <br />Mr. Lanterman would like to see more photographs put in the guidelines to make them more clear. <br />Lanterman has found some conflict in the guidelines and encourages them to allow some more <br /> <br /> 10 <br /> <br />
