<br />Approved – September 18, 2003 <br />of an input part of the development process, so has been removed. <br />Section V <br /> (Implementation Actions) has been simplified to focus on the land use and urban <br /> <br /> <br />designs recommendations from the plan and the regulatory implementation tools that will are <br />recommended to achieve those physical goals. <br />Section VI <br /> (Appendix) was removed. This section contained information used as <br /> <br /> <br />background input data in developing the plans and was therefore removed. <br /> <br />Commission Questions: <br />Lipton requested if the Commissioners had any questions of Staff. None were asked. <br /> <br />Applicant Presentation: <br />Lipton requested a report from the applicant. Frank Cannon of Civitas stated that Mr. Johnstone had <br />covered the details and he had no additional information to provide. <br /> <br />Members of the Public: <br />Lipton asked if anyone in the audience had come to speak. <br /> <br />Mike Deborski, 601 Pine St. expressed concerns about the revitalization area and the effect it will have <br />on his two family owned businesses. He requested assurance that the moving / relocation of those <br />businesses will be accommodated or at least worked at in the process. His specific concerns are zoning <br />in relation to his property. <br /> <br />Lipton asked Deborski to show on the City map the location of his property. <br /> <br />Kalish encouraged Deborski to stay involved with the process as it continues to evolve for the next <br />several years. <br /> <br />Lipton stated that he expects the process / vision could take 30 years. He also suggested that the family <br />consider the additional value the change could have for their property. <br /> <br />Commission Questions: <br />Lipton asked if the Commissioners had questions for either Staff or the Applicant. None heard. <br /> <br />Staff Summary and Recommendation: <br />Johnstone requested approval of Resolution No. 14, Series 2003, a resolution recommending approval <br />of Highway 42 Revitalization Area Comprehensive Plan as an Amendment to the City’s Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Applicant Summary: <br />Applicant had no additional summary. <br /> <br />Public Hearing Closed Commission Comments: <br />Lipton closed the public hearing and requested discussion by the Commissioners. <br /> <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />
