Where are <br />those cars going to be parked with the new project? Difficult to compare the shop the down the <br />street with this site. Support continuance to have time to review what was done with the other <br />site. <br /> <br />Lipton: <br />Support the statements from Kalish. If done well the site and use can be compatible to <br />HWY 42. Suggest continuance to have resolution on parking issues. Revised plan to act <br />affordably on. <br /> <br />McAvinew: <br /> Merits further consideration. Support continuance. <br /> <br />Loo: <br />Support continuance. Will all the additional landscaping reduce the visibility of the <br />business? <br /> <br />Deborski: <br />Support continuance in order to evaluate parking and find other/similar businesses. <br />Look at the long term for the next use of this building and the parking that might be needed. <br />Written agreement for shared parking. <br /> <br />Pritchard: <br />Request staff to follow-up with the applicant to find out what other shops are required <br />to have for parking. <br /> <br />McDermott: What action are we asking staff to come back with? We need specific goals for the <br />staff to address. <br /> <br />Motion to continue to the next regularly scheduled meeting of July 13, 2004 by McDermott, <br />Pritchard seconded. <br /> <br />Motion discussion. Commissioners discussed the conditions of approval identified in Resolution <br />No. 16, Series 2004 and requested staff to resolve with the applicant the following points before <br />the next hearing. <br /> <br />1)Apply the same parking criteria as the recently approved auto body shop to this auto body <br />shop portion of the application. <br /> <br />2)Identify parking criteria for a muffler shop. <br /> <br />3)Build in a parking requirement stipulation for the next use. <br /> <br />4)Shared parking agreement written. <br /> <br />5)Evidence of noise and traffic impact. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Deborski, Yes; McDermott, Yes; McAvinew, Yes; Kalish, Yes; Loo, Yes; Pritchard, Yes; and <br />Lipton, Yes. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Loo moved and McAvinew seconded a motion to enter the handout from Gordon Fordyce into <br />record.
