APPROVED <br />September 14, 2004 <br />McAvinew: <br /> Brief discussion of a population cap and what comments have been made by the <br />public regarding a cap. <br />McDermott: <br /> Noted that there is some confusion among the public that housing and types of <br />housing drive population. <br /> <br /> <br />Highway 42 Revitalization Area Update <br />Johnstone summarized: <br />Brownfields Grant August deadline for EPA grant paperwork has been met. Expecting <br /> <br /> <br />funds late-August to mid-September. <br />RFP and Scope of Work for the Environmental component is expected to be completed in <br /> <br /> <br />mid-October <br />DRCOG and CDOT grant was received and funding is expected before end of year. The <br /> <br /> <br />grant is for a design study and traffic analysis of Highway 42. Heather Balser, Deputy <br />City Manager is the contact person for that project. <br />The draft US36 EIS being developed by RTD/CDOT and their consulting team will be <br /> <br /> <br />completed in September. It continues to include a rail station in downtown Louisville. <br />Clarion, the consultant for the zoning component is preparing a draft of recommendation <br /> <br /> <br />which should be completed in August and then presented to the working group in late <br />September. <br /> <br /> <br />Christ the Servant Lutheran Church – PUD status <br />McAvinew: <br /> Noted the letter sent by Staff to the church. <br />Johnstone: <br /> Reported he is playing telephone tag with the church representative and hopes to be <br />able to talk him in the next week or two. <br />McAvinew: <br /> Requested that staff keep the commissioners informed. <br />Loo: <br /> Thanked staff for the letter and expressed that it was very tactfully written considering the <br />situation. <br /> <br /> <br />10.Planning Commission Comments <br /> <br />McAvinew: <br /> Noted weeds along McCaslin in front of the theater and who is responsible along the <br />sidewalk for the mowing. Staff is not aware of who is responsible and will request code <br />enforcement to investigate. <br /> <br /> <br />11.Adjournment <br /> Kalish moved and Pritchard seconded. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm. <br /> 5 <br />
