APPROVED September 14, 2004 Pritchard moved and Loo seconded a motion to approve the detailed set of minutes for the July 13, 2004 and July 22, 2004 meetings. Motion passed unanimously with a voice vote. 8.The following items are tentatively scheduled Tuesday, September 14, 2004. Spruce Street Apartments  (aka Hu Subdivision), a final subdivision plat for the Spruce Street Apartments Subdivision (aka Hu Subdivision), a proposed 3 lot, multi- family residential subdivision located on the south side of Spruce St. between Highway 42 and the BNSF Railroad. Case #04-018-FS/FP.  Case Manager: Kenneth Johnstone, Principal Planner  Applicant and Owner: Paul Hu  Representative: Lee Stadele, Flagstaff Surveying, Inc. City of Louisville, Public Library , a preliminary planned unit development (PUD) and preliminary consideration of a special review use (SRU) to build a new 32,000 SF Library on two levels with a below grade parking structure at 800 Front St. at the northwest corner of the intersection of Spruce and Front Streets, Lots 2 – 6, Block 2, Town of Louisville. Case #04-019-PP. Case Manager: Paul Wood, Planning Director Applicant and Owner: City of Louisville, represented by Julie Boyd, Deputy City Manager Representative: Humphries Poli Architects The Levihn Addition Subdivision , a minor subdivision replat of Lots 7 and 8 and the north half of Lot 9, less the easterly 50 feet thereof, Block 8, Caledonia Place into two lots of approximately 6,250 SF each, 1440 Front Street. Case #04-020-FS.  Case Manager: Kenneth Johnstone, Principal Planner  Applicant and Representative: Main St. Property Holdings II, Herb Newbold  Owner: Arnold Levihn Johnstone reported that all cases are on track for the September 14 meeting. Pritchard: Is the library coming forward with a height variance request? Wood: The preliminary does not include the architectural elements but staff has also heard that a request might be coming forward. 9.Staff Comments Citywide Comprehensive Plan Update Wood reviewed the June 30, 2004 Public Meeting Summary sheet that was included the Commission meeting packets with the following discussion points: Key issues  Planning Principals  Evaluation of the eight Opportunity Areas.  How the attendees used the green and red dots that they were provided.  Next public workshop is scheduled for Thursday, September 16 at the Arts Center.  August 24, the regularly scheduled study session for the Planning Commission will be  used as a formal long range planning session. Results of the survey will be included at that meeting as well as a review of agenda for the September 16 workshop. 4
