CORRECTED AND APPROVED – APRIL 14, 2005 <br />negotiations between Louisville and Lafayette to create a buffer between the two communities; <br />Area #6, they would like to see open space along the ridgeline and Area #4, Storage Tek, the <br />proposed open space needs to be a much larger area to support the wildlife in that area. <br /> <br />Lipton asked if the current open space plan reflects what Muckle just reviewed. Muckle stated <br />that the plan is for property that is currently managed and the suggestions he represented are on <br />the wish list of the board. <br /> <br />Walter (Buz) Koelbel, 5291 E. Yale Ave., Denver, owner of Koelbel and Co. stated that his <br />company is responding to how development is evolving across the country. The use of single use <br />zoning is an area is becoming antiquated. Numerous areas are using a zoning that allows for the <br />concept of live / work / play / shop and that is what Louisville should be looking at through the <br />Comp Plan. He encouraged the Commission to not miss the opportunity with this Comp Plan to <br />be progressive. <br /> <br />David Finamore, 720 Grant Ave., stated that the residents do not want growth and through the <br />process the voice of the residents was not heard. The City needs to be responsible and do what <br />the residents want done. <br /> <br />Jen Cantrel, 403 Lilac Ct., discussed Section 8 vouchers and housing in Louisville. She <br />encouraged the Commission to keep Louisville as it is and to not add housing just for the sake of <br />adding housing. <br /> <br />Mark (unknown), 946 St. Andrews Ln., stated that Louisville is a unique community and the <br />Commission should work to it as such. He requested that the Commission listen to the residents <br />and what they want for their community. <br /> <br />Mary George, 720 Grant Ave., stated that the request for additional housing is not coming from <br />those that live in Louisville but from the developers and home builders. She stated that the <br />Commission should listen to the local residents and not the developers and home builders. <br /> <br />Christy Ostrom, 1120 Hillside, stated that she did not participate in the public workshop. She <br />views the proposed plan as a very big change and a challenge for the community and the <br />Commission should listen to what the citizens are requesting. <br /> <br />William Cantrel, 403 Lilac Ct., stated that the Commission should work to maintain the current <br />character and history of Louisville. <br /> <br />Doug Grinbergs, 530 W. Sycamore Circle, expressed concern with the proposed growth of <br />Louisville. He also identified that the Plan did not address issues of environmental concern. <br /> <br />Chris Hansen, address unknown, stated that the City has yet to see the full impact of the aging <br />community in Louisville. He stated that in 5 years, 2010, that 1/3 of the United States population <br />will be over the age of 55. Without a change in the housing stock in Louisville then that group of <br />people will have to look elsewhere for housing. <br />6 <br /> <br /> <br />
