LCityoj <br />Louisville <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />Memorandum <br />To: Louisville Open Space Advisory Board <br />From: Ember Brignull, Open Space Manager <br />Date: September 14 2814 <br />Re: Staff Trail Recommendations <br />DEPARTMENT LEAD: PARK & RECREATION <br />1) Overlook Underpass Trail (OSAB Recommendation). Anticipated opening of the <br />underpass is March 2016. If affected and/or involved parties agree to this trail the "Marshall - <br />Superior- Coalton Trail Corridor Management Plan" would need to be amended and approved <br />by the Boulder County Board of Commissioners. Louisville public process will occur in 2014- <br />2015 during the McCaslin Blvd Small Area Plan initiative. <br />2) Avista. The US 36 Commuter Bikeway will be open March 2016 at which point this <br />connection could be constructed. Public process will occur in 2015 during the Monarch <br />Neighborhood Small Area Plan initiative. <br />3) NW Corner of Warembourg. Public process will occur in 2015 during the Fireside Small <br />Area Plan initiative. <br />4) Two Neighborhood Connections to Daughenbaugh. Public process will occur in 2015 <br />during the Fireside Small Area Plan initiative. <br />5) West Dahlia/Fireside to Powerline Trail. Public process will occur in 2015 during the <br />Fireside Small Area Plan initiative. <br />6) 104"' St (OSAB Recommendation). Construct trail after safe crossings of Dillon and Hwy 42 <br />are completed. Safe Crossing may not be warranted for 5+ years. <br />7) Golf Course Trail- On the Perimeter of the Course (OSAB Recommendation). Public <br />process will occur in 2015 during the Monarch Neighborhood Small Area Plan initiative. <br />8) Coal Creek Trail to CTC (CCT to Dillon Segment 1). <br />9) Davidson Mesa link to HOA. This would require either land or easement acquisition on <br />private property. Requested by citizens in the past. Public process will occur in 2014 -2015 <br />during the McCaslin Blvd Small Area Plan initiative. <br />DEPARTMENT LEAD: PLANNING or PUBLIC WORKS <br />10) Walnut Bike Boulevard (OSAB Recommendation). Tentatively planned for implementation <br />in 2015. <br />11) Harney Lastoka South of the Louisville Sports Complex. Tentatively planned for <br />construction in 2015. To be constructed as part of the Urban Drainage Outfall System Plan. <br />12) HWY 36 Multipurpose Trail- Tentatively planned for completion in March of 2016. This will be <br />accomplished as part of the HWY 36 Managed Lane /Bus Rapid Transit Project. <br />13) Bullhead Gulch to 95th Street. Tentatively planned for construction in 2017 as part of the <br />Takoda Development Planning Process. This will include a safe crossing of 961h Street. <br />8 <br />
