CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />September 17, 2014 <br />APPLICANT: Louisville Mill Site LLC, Erik Hartronft and Randy Caranci <br />OWNER: City of Louisville <br />PLANNER: Scott Robinson, AICP, Planner II <br />LOCATION: 540 -544 County Road <br />ZONING: Commercial Business (CB) <br />REQUEST: Case #14- 036 -FL Approval of a floodplain development permit to <br />construct a 1400 SF addition to the existing historic Grain Elevator <br />structure and a new 19,000 SF commercial building to the north in <br />the AH flood hazard zone. The request includes a variance to the <br />flood proofing requirement established in Title 17.56. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The applicant, Louisville Mill Site LLC., is requesting approval of a floodplain <br />development permit to construct a 1400 SF addition to the historic Grain Elevator and a <br />new 19,000 square foot commercial building within the AH flood hazard zone. The <br />proposed addition would allow for the commercial use of the Grain Elevator structure, <br />and the new building would host retail /restaurant uses on the first floor and offices on <br />the upper floors. <br />1 <br />
