Seconded by Howard. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 5 - 0 vote with Lathrop <br />and Levihn being absent. <br /> <br />OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />Tami Tanoue, Griffiths & Tanoue, introduced Sam Light, a new member of their law firm. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, reported concerning Drainageway "A" improvements, that the <br />Public Works Department was ready to proceed with final design on the improvements. <br /> <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, explained that most of the open channel was existing and major <br />features would be modifications of Lake Park and Middle School Park, mostly in the berms. There <br />would be a 54" pipe that would extend from Middle School Park to Hwy. 42. He anticipated <br />construction would begin late November/early December and take 45 to 60 days depending on the <br />weather. <br /> <br />Simmons informed Council of the "Light Up Louisville" project encouraging residents and businesses <br />to turn on their front porch lights and leave them on through the night, every night starting October <br />31. The Police Department will be assisting the Chamber of Commerce in this project. <br /> <br />4 <br />
