Project Approach Our project approach illustrates who we expect to accomplish the work and also highlights innovative solutions to achieve the project goals and how we intend to provide value to the City of Louisville. In the interest of simplicity and efficiency, please see our team's resumes in the attachments for examples of similar projects completed by our team. The project schedule (included in `Scope & Cost Form' proposal section) outlines how our project approach fits within the OSAB meeting schedule and January 30, 2015 completion date. 1: MEETINGS 1.1. Bi- Weekly Progress Meetings Recommendation: Our team will facilitate bi- weekly team meetings utilizing conference call and screen - share technology. Agendas for the weekly meetings will be distributed 2 days in advance of the meeting (for review and adjustment). Deliverables: Bi- weekly meeting agendas, summary meeting notes. 1.2. Open Space Advisory Board (OSAB) & Council Meetings Recommendation: We will meet with staff and the OSAB at regular intervals throughout the project, for a total of three (3) meetings. Each of these meetings will be facilitated by the project team, and be structured in an open house format with a brief powerpoint presentation, and interactive displays/ graphics. We will meet with City Council two (2) times during the project - once to share the final signage & wayfinding design palette and preliminary cost estimate, and also at the end of the project to share the final implementation /phasing recommendations. Each City Council meeting will include a powerpoint presentation with supporting graphic materials. Deliverables: Powerpoint presentations and graphic presentation materials for all OSAB and City Council meetings 2: SIGNS 2.1. Recommended Revisions to Sign Text / Color / Symbols Recommendation: Utilizing signage documentation provided by the City of Louisville, our team will catalogue the text /colors /symbols of the existing project area signage, and evaluate them against established `best practice' examples of how to effectively and compellingly communicate information through signage. Based on this evaluation, we will make recommendations for revisions that help improve the sign text /colors /symbols. Deliverables: Summary of `Best Practice' precedents, recommendations for revisions to sign text/colors /symbols. 2.2. Three (3) Concept Options for the Sign Package Recommendation: Based on the recommendations established in step 2.1, we will create three (3) preliminary signage and wayfinding design palettes for the project area. Each palette will contain a representative variety of sign types and scales, communicating a comprehensive overview of how each option will look, feel and function. The three concept options will be presented to staff & the OSAB for review and comment, and we will summarize the direction for the final signage palette based on feedback received, and utilize this feedback to create a final signage & wayfinding sign package. The final package will include details for each sign type, cost estimates for each sign type, construction documentation drawings for each sign type and three material and color boards.
