Planning Commission <br />Staff Report <br />October 9, 2014 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Bowman Consulting has submitted a land use application requesting a final Plat and final <br />Planned Unit Development (PUD) Plan to develop 6 single - family detached units on <br />property that was the historic location of the ACME Mine. The 1.27 acre property is <br />zoned residential medium (RM) density. The <br />mine was an integral part of life in Louisville. During its tenure, Acme produced over 1.7 <br />million tons of coal. A fire destroyed the mine's tipple in 1927.
