Revitalization Commission <br />Minutes <br />September 8, 2014 <br />Page 6 of 6 <br />Commissioner Lathrop finds it comforting that DELO is developing the entire area <br />so it is in DELO interest to do a good job. <br />Randy Caranci said the design of building lacks creativity. He agrees with <br />Commissioner Lathrop; this looks like any other town's strip mall. McClure said it <br />is better then what is there now. Redevelop will provide good tax base. He feels <br />that it is a great development. <br />Commissioner Gorsevski asked if there is time to rethink it? McClure said this is <br />how Tebo wants his project. <br />Russ said staff has had conversations with Tebo as well. Tebo knows retail. He <br />is reluctant to make it more pedestrian. <br />DeJong summarized the comments expressed: parking and access is a <br />challenge and it is visually not attractive. <br />Russ said the parking lot can be made more inviting. <br />Commissioner Tofte said the LRC can put money toward the project to make it <br />more inviting. Maybe LRC can incentivize the west or east view. McClure agreed <br />saying perhaps an easement facade. Russ suggested a facade grant <br />Commissioner Lathrop said the technical issues should be forwarded and the <br />parking lot access <br />Commissioner Tofte said to forward the LRC impressions. <br />Public Comments: <br />None <br />Commissioners' Comments — <br />Chair Becker asked that everyone have access to a calendar for the next meeting. <br />Commissioner Gorsevski told RMCS timeline is key to DELO. If there is something the <br />LRC can do to assist, bring it to LRC.
