Ideas for expanding programming <br />Youth concert opportunities <br />Fostering new and up and coming musical groups and individuals <br />Assisting private teachers to highlight and provide performance opportunities <br />(work with local senior groups including Balfour and Senior Center to coordinate <br />opportunities for residents <br />Work with local businesses to highlight performing groups <br />2- Art Programming <br />There are many Visual arts organizations so we should facilitate collaboration <br />between various arts organizations to assist them in providing high quality <br />programming that is affordable and accessible to residents. <br />Current programs <br />1- Arts Walk <br />2- Art Shows <br />Ideas for future programs <br />1- Sculpture and Public Art Ideas <br />2- Sculpture gardens as part of combining art and botany /zoology <br />Art can also be spoken word and NalloWriMo will address this focus area. <br />Expand Young Writer programming with Library and Library Foundation folding in <br />working with School district and local businesses. The Library Program will sponsor <br />NalloWriMo along with various coffee shops and other restaurants and businesses. <br />3- Dance Programming <br />Currently we provide no programming in this area. There are limited <br />opportunities or private groups that provide this programming in Louisville. Find <br />ways to collaborate with private groups or expand opportunities. <br />4- Theater Programming <br />Currently there are three major groups that provide private programming for <br />residents. Coal Creek Theater (CCT), Center Stage, Art Underground. Limitations <br />on this include lack of space for rehearsals and storage. No theater, although will be <br />slated for construction in conjunction with Arts Village collaboration with Boulder <br />County Housing project. <br />5- Cultural and Natural History <br />Louisville Museum and Historian currently work in these areas.
