Robinson stated there are two options, the applicant can either move forward based on your vote, or they could request a continuance to October where there might be more members to make a vote. Watson asked if we go through our voting process they can withdraw prior to City Council. Robinson answered in the affirmative. La Grave asked if they seek a continuance and even make changes, would that require a new application. Robinson answered in the affirmative. Johnson asked if a difference in design could help with the alteration decision. La Grave stated he would have to see it before he could react to it. Watson stated he appreciates the application and the design and understands things change over time. Johnson asked for a quick recess for the applicant to discuss the options. The board took a 5 minute recess to allow the applicants to discuss their options. Johnson stated they are willing to proceed with the board's vote and decision. Watson asked for a motion for them to vote on. He said they could vote in one vote or do 3 separate votes. The board asked for 3 separate votes. Watson made a motion to accept 1245 Grant as a landmark because the building has architectural integrity and social significance. Haley seconded the motion. Motion approved by a vote of 3 — 1, with La Grave voting no. Watson asked for a motion on the grant, as proposed. Haley made a motion to approve the grant in the amount of $20,000. Echohawk seconded the motion. Motion approved by a vote of 4 — 0.
