Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 25, 2014 <br />Page 6 of 8 <br />Watson asked if the board could take a vote. <br />Robinson stated there are two options, the applicant can either move forward based on <br />your vote, or they could request a continuance to October where there might be more <br />members to make a vote. <br />Watson asked if we go through our voting process they can withdraw prior to City <br />Council. <br />Robinson answered in the affirmative. <br />La Grave asked if they seek a continuance and even make changes, would that require <br />a new application. <br />Robinson answered in the affirmative. <br />Johnson asked if a difference in design could help with the alteration decision. <br />La Grave stated he would have to see it before he could react to it. <br />Watson stated he appreciates the application and the design and understands things <br />change over time. <br />Johnson asked for a quick recess for the applicant to discuss the options. <br />The board took a 5 minute recess to allow the applicants to discuss their options. <br />Johnson stated they are willing to proceed with the board's vote and decision. <br />Watson asked for a motion for them to vote on. He said they could vote in one vote or <br />do 3 separate votes. <br />The board asked for 3 separate votes. <br />Watson made a motion to accept 1245 Grant as a landmark because the building has <br />architectural integrity and social significance. <br />Haley seconded the motion. <br />Motion approved by a vote of 3 — 1, with La Grave voting no. <br />Watson asked for a motion on the grant, as proposed. <br />Haley made a motion to approve the grant in the amount of $20,000. <br />Echohawk seconded the motion. <br />Motion approved by a vote of 4 — 0. <br />
