La Grave asked the applicants what they are seeking. Jason stated he was most interested in performing a structural assessment to learn more about the structure. La Grave asked what they were hoping to do. Jason stated they are interested in landmarking. H eadded they would like a small addition, but maintain the form. Public Comment— none Commission Comments Echohawk stated she was happy to see the social history to understand the social significance. Haley stated she is excited about the project. Watson stated property qualifies architecturally because it has maintained its form, and he believes it qualifies through social history as well. La Grave made a motion to approve the probable cause determination, allowing a historical assessment grant. Echohawk seconded the motion. Motion approved by voice vote. PUBLIC HEARING — 1245 Grant Landmark, Alteration Certificate, Grant Watson introduced the item. La Grave asked to take separate votes on each item being requested. Trice presented staffs report and the items submitted in the packet, including historical photos and a social history of the property. She stated the structure has retained architectural integrity and has an exemplary social history. She gave information on the proposed addition. She added staff approves of the proposed addition and gave a detailed report of the grant request, including a breakdown of costs. La Grave asked for more budgetary information, more specifically how the grant request works with the repayment requirements from the Grain Elevator purchase. Robinson gave some details on the repayment requirements.
