SUBJECT: WWTP AND STORMWATER UTILITY PROJECTS UPDATE <br />DATE: OCTOBER 28, 2014 <br />PAGE 2 OF 2 <br />If continued, both projects will result in significant rate increases. Staff is developing <br />updated multiyear Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater rate increases to determine <br />needed 2015 -2019 budgeted revenues and expenses. <br />Staff is providing this project briefing as a prelude to the Louisville and Superior Joint Utility <br />Study discussion and to give the City Council an early opportunity to understand the <br />progress of project activities, possible future impacts, and answer preliminary questions <br />prior to asking Council to me any critical decisions. <br />In short, these are very large projects that may seem invisible to the average resident but <br />will have very noticeable impacts to Utility bills. Our neighboring communities have many <br />of these similar challenges and are also are struggling to work through them. The Water <br />Committee has already had a great deal of discussion on these projects. Staff felt that <br />with large approaching milestones it would be appropriate to have a brief focused <br />discussion at this point in time. <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />1. WVVTP Site Plan <br />2.
