<br />Davidson opened the public hearing calling for anyone wishing to speak on Ordinance No. 1241. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Davidson closed the public hearing and called for Council comments or motions. <br /> <br />Lathrop moved that Council adopt Ordinance No. 1241, Series 1996, seconded by Keany. Roll call <br />was taken. Motion passed by a 6 - 0 vote with Howard being absent. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 70, SERIES 1996 - SETTING BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION <br />(TABLED FROM 11/19/96 MEETING) <br /> <br />Tom Talboom, Chief Building Inspector, stated that Resolution No. 70, Series 1996, adopts the most <br />current edition ofthe Building Valuation Data Table which is the March-April I, 1996 edition. The <br />table printed in the 1996 editions shows an increase in the valuation data factors by approximately <br />3.5%. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 70, Series 1996, seconded by Levihn. Roll call was <br />taken. Motion passed by a 6 - 0 vote with Howard being absent. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76, SERIES 1996 - A FINAL SUBDIVISION REPLAT AND A FINAL <br />PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN - LOT 8 AL VENUS SUBDIVISION - (HUNTER FLOORING <br />CENTER) <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that the applicant was requesting authorization of a Final PUD <br />Development Plan for a 5,400 s.f office, retail and warehouse facility as well as a Final Subdivision <br />Replat consisting of Lots 7 and 8 of the Alvenus Subdivision. Approximately 64% of the main floor <br />area will be warehousing and inventory of flooring goods, with the remaining area being a show <br />room. A second story mezzanine provides approximately 600 s.f of office and work area. Signage <br />was limited to two, backlit, awning signs attached to the east and south building elevations. Staff <br />requested additional berming in the areas abutting similar uses along the north and west property lines <br />and 44 additional shrubs. The applicant requested, due to budgetary considerations, a reduction in <br />the number of trees as well as the caliper size on trees. <br /> <br />Davidson called for the applicant's presentation. <br /> <br />Steve Hunter, 880 West Barberry Circle, Louisville, Colorado, stated that they had agreed with staff <br />on all issues with the exception oflandscaping, which they thought was excessive. It would hide the <br />store and would place a huge financial burden on them. They asked for relief on the size and number <br />of trees. <br /> <br />Paul Brooks, 1795 Plaza Drive, stated that they had a problem with conditions No. 1 and NO.8. No. <br />1 called for 44 additional shrubs and NO.8 wanted trees relocated from a drainage easement to the <br /> <br />7 <br />
